Point of information though.....It's pretty possible to get to Nyeri from Nakuru without going through Nyahururu.....anybody?...and let's put ignorance aside.Any place in Nyandarua county is worth investing in.I have a friend from close to Passenga.....He has a 60 acre piece with mature cypress.......That's gold, isn't it? Whats the going price for 1 acre near Comply Industries/Sian flowers 20Km after Nakuru town? Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

Sure wrote:kaifastus wrote:@sure,1.3 for 1/4,is a fair deal. Am geting 1/8 at jb mawanga at around 700k. For rentals though. I have some land in Mawanga, five acres near Kihika Kimani's intended University. I will hold on to it till tarmack heads to St George. This can take five or ten years but am not in a hurry. Mawanga has no proper transport system. If you have a car, it becomes a body shaker sooner than later. Then the neighbourhood has a deep rural setting with mad houses, thatch, etc and gettos here and there. Randi mawe, ... Just my thoughts. @Sure, which mawanga are you referring to??? There are no thatched houses in the mawanga i know... watu wamejenga rentals and residential houses.Again i dont wanna speculate on land,i want to construct (ave done so elsewhere) rental houses. I never speulate on land its not economical in the long run. Add value na kujenga nchi!!

Many thanks everyone for replies, I am overwhelmed with number of responses in one day. My budget is 500k looking to close deal towards end of this year, I wouldn't mind distance from city but as long as it has a semblance of cosmopolitan neighbourhood (remember 2007?) but definitely not a crowded place. I am in no hurry to settle, thinking of 5-10 years time.
I don't know anywhere in Nakuru, just passed through several times but still like the town. I will appreciate all your advice as I will heavily rely on it in doing my research.

The other direct route would be to get into a chopper and voila. Travelling any other route by car is not direct, ie, Nku, gilgil, ol kalau, Nyahururu, Nyeri. Neither is Nku, Kinali, Thika, Nyeri direct. What is the argument here anyway. Njung'e knows the whole contry like the back of his hand. Tell us what the trick is apart from NKU, Nyahururu, Nyeri direct. Direct means without interruption, ie NBI - Mombasa direct. By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...Gaitho dialogues.

@Kihangeri, Did i say direct?...NO!!...and now you are thinking. How about Nakuru-Olkalou-(Turn to the new Olkalou-Njabini road and tee off after Catherine Ndereba's estate to-Kirima(Migunda mieru)-Kaheho-Mairo Inya? Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I have not been grounded along the route yet over a puncture or overheating radiator. Otherwise, you get to know the name of a place in extra ordinary cases as you would normally just cruise by without stopping to ask villagers the name of a place. Stem or pipeline is more evident as tell tale signs are all over. Am from Naks and Isiolo at the same time. Wisdom to detect when share prices hit rock bottom. Am conversant with the area. Depends on several factors as with real estate; the further you move from amenities the cheaper it gets. Near Nku - Nbi highway (pipeline depot) be ready to part with 1m plus. If you move further interior some are going for as much as 200k You lose money chasing women, but you never lose women chasing money - NAS
