Well i like this thread.... u can actually tell one's profession just by reading through it...... linguists are quite a number............. Its just me whatever choice you make in life make sure that you can live with it.

@ wakanyugi, number sio number tuu... denotation BC (Before Christ) changed to AD (Anno Domini) after Jesus was born.... here is the mystry....that actually AD started at 6 BC...how? ask historians if we have any in the house.... NEVER TALK OF A RHINO IF THERE IS NO TREE NEAREBY - ZULU PROVERB
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

While @ the number 9,ever noticed how numbers divisible by 19 ULTIMATELY add up to 19? Take the the last digit of any no divisible by 19(19,38,57....) and multiply it by 2 then add the remaining digits. Eg for 38,we have (8*2)+3=19 Loading...

@ wakanyugi, in science,in divinity and in real life numbers have proven to work....BTW you cannot do without them numbers....on an average day,90% of it you are using them in whichever form.... NEVER TALK OF A RHINO IF THERE IS NO TREE NEAREBY - ZULU PROVERB

@Kaigangio, Granted we use numbers every day. Same with words and other symbols. But none of them would have meaning if we did not imbue them with it. In some cultures the number 7 is considered lucky. In China the number 4. Both groups make it work for them because they invest the emotional and intellectual energy that give this meaning to these symbols. 09-09-09 may have been been important,holy,lucky,privileged etc to some people,but only because they made it so. When I tried to impress upon my cat on the great importance of this day,she ignored me completely.
