I have a some money set aside for purely speculative purposes and was wondering, is it worth investing some in WTK?

I also wanna know how much of the Operational Profits are from Tea/Timber/Biashare

Property Valuations probably for the various residential houses they own for Managers, etc but I wonder how much Williamson House [6 floors] is worth?

IMHO, they should sell 5 floors then distribute the cash to shareholders!!!

What is this talk about land in Karen?

@VVS,the whole house has been sold this quarter and are moving to the new offices at Karen Park from July. But knowing how mean the management is,do you expect the cash to be paid out?,listen to them at the AGM,they will have a reason not to!

@the deal you are really jumpy.. Relax both stocks have simlar fundamentals with WTK's being slightly better.. WTK is taking a break after a sweet rally as its little sister kapchorua takes the spotlight..

NAV 2x price. Tea prices still good [though production is down] & KES is in freefall so KES profits will grow!

=>Could WTK also be lagging since it's book closer comes later (in Aug)?

I dont think WTK is lagging because it already rallied from 180 very recently.. Kapchorua is currently playing catch up..

Tea production is down in Kenya due to the drought, India (north) has problems with pests...

Firms like WTK have the means to 'maintain' the Tea Bushes + ability to mitigate some level of low rains [not a full scale drought] so they will benefit than most from higher tea prices.

At 90/- to US$... a killing!

=>WTK is paying 12/50 (12.50 DIV BY 210/= is 5.95% and KPC 7/50 ( 7.50 DIV BY 130/= is 5.77%). Seems WTK has more room for rallying ama?
