use either a paypal account or credit card to order from amazon.com but this year they charged freight as opposed to previous years, additionally some books take upto 3 months to get here and no tracking info

Parkinson's Law is not a motivational book. It is a discourse on management and general administration... the law itself states that "Work expands so as to fill the time allocated for its completion"

Parkinson extrapolates this and says that "the number of people required to do any task is determined only by the amount of money available to pay them"! And he demonstrates proof by looking at the administration department of the British army from 1910, through WW1 and WW2 and shows how the staffing levels would increase during peacetime and decrease during wartime.

There is also a chapter that explains the perfect number for a committee - 8. It shows how kitchen cabinets form in government in an attempt to make the perfect 8 members ....would be a good read for our Principals...

The book is quite funny; libraries have a hard time deciding whether to categorise it as management or comedy.... There is a chapter explaining why the Brits keep left on the road and the Americans keep right...
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
