What about the 10% rise cap?

it wont apply on Monday i reckon it will open on 250 Ksh Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Party time though i regret selling half of my holdings...it could have been a real party....never less come Monday i will be cheering JBL all the way to 350 bob...LOL.

why wont it apply, and when is it supposed to apply. I noticed cables, pan africa and even car n gen fell or rose by more than ten percent. What does the rule say. Thanks

From the trend of events JUB price may not rise sharply as expected even though the result is very good because the return to shareholders especially the bonus issue is below expectation.

WE all know what happened to KCB, Pan Afric, KK and others that returned good results without sustainable rise in price.

For those that have not joined the bus,do not give up watch out you may have a chance to join in a a couple of weeks circa 190 bob.

I would say expect JUB at 200+ after a good Q1 2011 result and when the bulls fully return.

please note that on its core business ie insurance JIC made a loss as compared to the previous year.

in FY 2010 Net insurance premium 5.36 Billion vs net insurance claim/ benefits of 5.61 bilion. in 2009 FY Net insurance 4.9 b while net claims 3.9

main profit is from jump in shares price at NSE

Looks like I will not be selling after all. No one is really stepping up with the right price. So I guess I will be keeping my shares, which I am quite happy to do.

@madebe. Which shares does JIC hold other than their own?

I guess this explains the subdued reaction of the market.A company must be good at its core business anything else is peripheral and is treated as such no matter how good it is.A case in point is sameer when the tyre business became a tough nut to crack for the savvy investor it was time to abandon ship, subsequent efforts to diversify into real estate among other things have not been successful in salvaging the sinking ship.
In addition if most of jubilees profit came from NSE then these are clearly one off gains and may not be repeated next year..hence the caution with investors.

The mkt share is not appreciative of the spectacular results !

At this rate, it only confirms my wishes that the bear is relentless as i sharpen my hunting knives waiting for the bulls to come.

You need to read my comments to you when you announced that you had sold your Jubilee sometime back. Anyway, welcome back to JHL. Incidentally, I now do not expect a big jump in the share price but I would at least expect it to stabilize at over the 200/- level.

@ Mwanahisa

You clearly dont know how badly ive waited with baited breath for this baby (Jubilee).

I frankly give a hats off for the outstanding performance, but at the end of the day i want to buy a wonderful company at a fair price and not the other way round.

The highest i would bid it for in this current bear is Ksh 150 pap !
