Burning Spear; was on the above treatment last year second half and now! its back so distressed. i also discovered the gyno-daktrin given by the hosi on your way to south B had expired in 2009(probably why i didnt get well.)
i dont like inserting the ovules or pushing the cream up the you-know-where but looks like its the only solution available now.
The reason for recurring vary and are many;
1. If your partner was not treated,men tend to be carriers but themselves do not always exhibit the symptoms.
2. Like you have said,the gyno-daktarin had expired thats why it didnt work.
3. If you have used broad spectrum antibiotics for treatment of other ailments and they killed the normal flora
4. If you wear tight fitting clothes which are warm-this may aggravate the issue.
You have indicated about having a problem with inserting the ovules.
Just do it when retiring to bed.It melts very fast and has no pain coz the ovule are of average size and some are bullet shaped.
Also,dont push the cream up,just apply to the labia majora & minora to some extent.the candid B has beclomethasone (reason for Candid B) which is a mild steroid which works at suppressing the itchness while clotrimazole kills the fungi.
The above prescription should not be more than ksh 500.I can refer you to some chemist in town if you are in town.
