@ Sarah,

Apart from pursuing your interestt in MQL4, I would advice you first get to learn and practice forex without programs. Once you have perfected a manual system, then you may try out the programs.

@sarah wow thats nice do u have a trading system that you want to code or I can give you one and maybe you can work on it. Maybe we can even discuss further on the same. I'm open to discussion
Discipline & sticking to your strategy even when you loosing defines great traders.

been on lurker mode, this indeed is a fascinating topic, kwanza linking trading patterns with trading bots...i read about one which detects patterns such as h&s patterns etc...funny thing about this is how quants claim that tech analysis is bunk!

I don't follow algo's so much. But I'm looking at more of automating the decision process that I take. Oanda this year took up MetaTrader and thats a plus. I tried to study those codes and how to plug them, but gave up at some point. Maybe Sarah may assist Pray

@ fxtech - Yes techs at times have been misbehaving, but they're still the best tool IMHO.

Hoping to automate (with very tight rules) for a small trades, but still undertake trade manually when I have the time/opportunity.
