Indeed this is extremely damaging. I thought the media would spare her lakini inakaa kuna NIS moles huko pia. I still don't know whether to laugh or pity her.

Judiciary needs some deep cleansing

Quote:
Investigators from the National Intelligence Service are trying to piece together a case linking a senior judge to a counterfeit currency syndicate.

A team from the Transnational Organised Crime Unit and the police arrested Arafat Omar, alias Omar Rashid (a Kenyan), and Fidel Ako (a Ghanaian) on Monday and yesterday, respectively. The two were also charged.

Police were allowed to continue interrogating Omar. Ako, who was charged with various offences, including money laundering, was released on Sh200,000 cash bail. There are valid deportation orders against Ako.

But perhaps the most surprising connection made following Omar’s arrest is his association with a well-known judge.

An analysis of Omar’s communication shows the two have been in communication on several occasions, and have a sexual relationship.

The judiciary is finished. It's no wonder I have a very low opinion of 'learned friends'

In another case, Omar is said to have conned the wife of another judge out of Sh30 million.....the victim is shown fake dollars with some markings. The cartel then claims the marks can only be removed using a particular device and specific chemicals.

More Ndrama na findio.

I have not seen it addressed anywhere but did this lady ever handle any Imperial Bank or Mr. Abdulmalek Janmohamed's cases? A scrutiny of all her cases since she became a judge could yield something interesting.

Nope...I think she was probably taking cash on behalf of other Judges...

Sad bit she will get away with it...Very lame excuses as to what the sums were for...

It is the job of the DCI to show commission of an offence. Taking a loan without a formal application is not criminal.

Having your son hired by Imperial Bank0 is not an offence nor does it raise any inference that one has been committed.

Public officers are governed by the Public Officers and Ethics Act. The primary ombudsman is the EACC where the DCI comes in mimi sielewi.

Breach of Ethics does not prima facie showw the commission of an offence, ethics at most is dealt by adherence to one's religious code in our context for that mattter crime is weighed by the penal code.

She will get away with it but damage has been done...

How does she use a formal letterhead to get a personal loan?

The Directorate of Public Prosecution now says in an affidavit filed in court that “the circumstances under which (Justice Mwilu) received the Sh12 million were clearly illegal” and (that she) “obtained financial advantage of her office” as a state officer “without any letter of offer and with Nil interest.”
