Either way it denies girlchild sexual pleasure otherwise known in medical terms as ORGASM.. Many have escaped FGM but have challenges getting an orgasm. What happens to their 'rights'? We may need more subtle justification for the cultural change being advocated for.  Spare the rod (clit) and spoil the child (woman)!!! This is why morals have gone to the dogs nowadays. While most men think with their rods, I suspect few women think with their clits. So the fate you're talking about is meant for you and others. Otherwise, you're doing humanity great injustice by trivializing morality and humanity to that level. Physical circumcision should have been replaced with mind circumcision. But all these were abandoned in girls to the fate of Hollywood and media. Hence my sentiments on morals. I would agree with the idea that both men and women have lost morals by submitting to Hollywood type lifestyle. This is because Hollywood speaks in the language of capital and capital has no ethic. For example, most Hollywood movies support a neo liberal agenda that allows for exploration of fantasy and identity beyond traditional roles and mores. The application of such ideas in ethics is likely to allow for loss of moral values. Therefore, the distinction between males and females in your case, may not be true. Rights of passage generally exist for men in most communities. But women determine morals. The women is the issue here. If women would respect themselves ad not lower their morals, then men would not be able to be immoral. Men are only going along with what women are are offering. After all men are weak when it comes to small head. If women would stop buying into the third wave feminist rhetoric and stop sleeping around, hooking up, and being slutty, then men will have no one to be immoral with.
