Kenya Railways to move 11,000 families from Kibera & Mukuru...
Link

September is the target date though this is easier said than done. One of the reasons the Syokimau train stalled that day is because of the encroachment, hence poor drainage and coupled with the garbage makes the track impassable.
Sadly as we enter the rainy season, the disruptions might increase.
But so far the convenience is unbeatable, 25 min to town is unparalleled. Na kwanza that they've started the Southern Bypass Mombasa Road Interchange construction, jam nayo!! And not considering next year when the raised highway construction starts from Nyayo stadium.
Train is quite packed though, when Imara and Makadara go live mid year then strategy needs to change i.e. multiple trains or trips.

Quite impressive – what is the parking capacity for this station?

This week we'll see the addition of 2 other railway routes Imara and Makadara. Then keep watching and waiting as Nairobi county will definitely raise up parking fees

Those implementing need to visit first world countries including south Africa to at least steal the designs and quality. We don't need something that will be redone in a couple of years. Not impressed with quality so far.

Quality of what? Stations? Trains will be upgraded when the rail is overhauled. I think functionality should come first. We are a poor country remember.
