Please remove this mourning about KQ from here and take it to the KQ thread. We're trying to discuss a serious stock.

yeah I agree.it used to be 2 notorious bigwigs fighting over KQ ,now there is a third one.

Why now? The calls for decorum? Others here even at 50K posts we are yet to know what skill(s) they have to offer. (BBK!!) Cc. spikes & co.

this guy spikes in the chase bank thread has quoted he does business where he sells products at a 3500-7000% mark-up. I would like to know which business this is!!!!
http://www.wazua.co.ke/f...sts&t=33964&p=4
He (@spikes) was mentioned in the same breath as hot air not so long ago..

Big talkers . 3500-7000% and you invest in mumias knowing it's on deathbed expecting to get 3500% returns ? What are people smoking these days ?

today kcb branches flocked with customers opening accounts.....I fear for small banks.

From the look of things, KCB is th largest beneficiary. Massive and cheap liabilities, they will have gud room to grow their asset book competitively.

On top of what karasinga said,I see myself moving my chips here soon. I'll ground kq ambition . Those guys are beyond help.they started leasing human beings! I thought people lease cars and donkeys to do jobs .I know hiring firms or job placement firms do that but a whole kq doing that is just beyond absurdity . They should be a company leasing out pilots .they will make more money that way

KCB is good buy for now, as per the merger & Acquisition, the acquiring firm stands to benefit.

i assume most of chasebank clients ran away from big banks like kcb because of harsh lending conditions and little attention being paid to them, even if they buy it i dont see them retaining the clients, big bank's are friendly to deep pockets and government

Especially if the business wasnt insured! I presume they were the only Kenya bank operating in Bentiu, so a US$500,000 loss in that branch alone!

http://www.star-telegram...ence-seen-in-south.html

We wait to see how it will be reflected in their books - whether end year 2013, or q1 2014 books

Surely @kaffir you needed 1month to arrive at that observation? @wazua republic dont blindy follow that simplistic fellow who was mentioning write offs!

Now look! They tried to shut me up when I called out the stock for being expensive and exposed in SS.. They called me mad for selling at KES 60.. Imagine! Niliitwa wazimu nikiwa na kitita zaida ya nusu milioni mfukoni

And then after that brilliant move... @Obiero went and bought KQ. d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

Only used about KES 200,000 to add onto my KQ holding, which I then cleaned out before getting in at lower entry. Now at real bottom and waiting for take off in next 7months. Guys will be shocked at the rapid rise when the time cometh

Its time to board KCB once again. Outsized gains forecasted. KES 60 likely to be revisited

@obiero there is sth here I don't understand what would make KQ rally? Is it fattening loan book and shrinking asset value or year after year widening loss? Come out clearly please because in the next seven months starting from April I am seeking entry @2bob. Will I be left out once a rally starts? More technical analysis Omera, yawa!

On 27.03.2016 I placed a buy recommendation. Watch and learn

HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

Rights issue won't have significant effect since the number of shares to be issued is won't be more than 10% of the currently issued shares.

That's what I also realised. Any prediction for the rights price...

I expect between 200m to 300m new shares.

The Nairobi bourse-listed bank is seeking shareholder approval to create an additional one billion new shares, part of which will be offered in a cash call slated for later this year.

From TA perspective, the support cluster at 38 - 39 level had better hold. Otherwise the bears threat target projections are 35 then 30. Again I ask, why a rights issue in this defensive market. It sends an ugly signal.

who says 1billion shares is little?Although they won't sell all of the new shares once created i don't know who follows closely to know where every single created new share will go,rewarding staff, directors and board are also possible options for new shares

The other shares created will be used for future bonuses and script dividends.

One of KCB's Capital Adequacy Ratio's excess was quite thin at FY 2015. The 10bn [& Scrip Dividend] is needed for the Chase acquisition + expansion.

True. Even more urgent with the Chase deal on the table. But the market has been moving against banks months before. That's what I'm pointing out.
