I have seen runners dive for the finish line. Its excellent strategy if you are running out of gas.

I am happy for Shaunae Miller. I am always happy when one of those small Carribbean islands beats the USA, Russia or Europe.

Not sure it was fair but seems legal.

No.7 is the clear winner here

100% fair...

They consider the head first. ..the head must cross the line to determine the race. ...u have been seeing athletes finish by putting their heads in front.
Diving is perfectly allowed as per the current laws.

it was fair... it was legal... it was wonderful. it's all about throwing everything in there. Applause Applause Applause Applause

IAAF RULE 164
The Finish
1. The finish of a race shall be denoted by a white line 50mm wide.
2. The athletes shall be placed in the order in which any part of their bodies (i.e. torso, as distinguished from the head, neck, arms, legs, hands or feet) reaches the vertical plane of the nearer edge of the finish line as defined above.

i think it was excellent.... throwing it all in there - if felix did that - she would have been the gold medalist but... SHE DIDN'T!

Give it to the Miller, give it all smile

She had the best ran, led all the way and she was not going to lose at the finish line. Dive pap! The crowd went wild. Earlier, a Brazilian used the same method and qualified for the next round Laughing out loudly

It's athletics not diving competition
