Hi guys!

Tried to post morning idea but somehow it wasnt posting on SK. Oil hit 101 (brent spot even hit 99) and gold has broken 800. Hurricane Ike seems to be bypassing the main oil production areas on the gulf. I gues this reads a stronger USD,or maintain a strong tone. My trades will be shorting against the USD.

Current trades:

Short cable at 1.7590 - TP at 1.7560,SL 1.7620

Short GBP/JPY at 189.03 - TP at 188.60,SL 189.86

I haven't been a fun of trading NY session, but last night made quite a bunch of pips (more than 100 pips),so I think I will be taking some more trades while am relaxing at home in the evenings.

Below trades profit booked.

Entered a risky trade of long GBPUSD at 1.7562 for 15 pips. Not an advisable trade for all, just taking advantage of the oversold level of 5 min chart for a retracements, before I short again.

Hi all,

Passyon,Ngaatu, kilabe,et al... Watu wamenyamaza sana? Hope you are having nice trades.

Last evening got stopped out on 2 trades (pulled some irrational moves),so took a whole day sabbatical now am back.

Still shorting GBPUSD on upticks. Just entered my second trade - Short at 1.7500 targeting around 1.7460/65 levels. There's a heavy support at around 1.7450,so take profit just before then and watch. Probably if not broken,it may retrace in a huge way back to 1.7480's then 1.7520. If it fails to convincingly go to the second resistance,we're in for anothe slide.

Hi,

For those who have been asking on which broker to use,I found this site on review interesting:

http://www.goforex.net/forex-broker-ratings.htm

Click on reviews for individual broker comments from the users. Noticed no one is perfectly happy wih their brokers. But hey,it's not a perfect world. It's upto a trader to decide with what he can or cannot live with.

Also a few comparisons:

http://www.goforex.net/f...x-broker-comparison.htm

My first broker was fxcm, then I later changed to my current one, oanda.

Hi @all

@passyson @tonicasert @kilabe @kim007 @ timber @alala and all.

Hope guys you have been all well during this crazy session.I have been away for some time but things now are as ussualy as they were.Lets keep the fire burning.
We need also to give the directions as i think most guys in other investments are currently in darkness and we need to give them the basics and fundamentals which they were ignoring or dismissiing them but now they are proving their strenghts and reality.

Hi,

Nice to see you guys.

Efforts and commitments from central banks boosting global equities. At least for now we may see some definate directions. UK injecting GBP 37Bn into 3 banks boosting GBP. Misssed earlier bus, looking to but GBPUSD on dips.

My broker today giving a 10 pip spread! Such a ripoff!

Its not that rocket science,if you go patiently and take your time it will be very simple, but if you go fast a lot and think if you can know it in two weeks then you will be dissapointed take your time and go gradually if you have any query you ask as you develop your knowledge.

hi @all

Hope you are doing good. The decision by U.S goverment to pump the $250 billion in buying the prefferential shares in the major banks lifted the global confidence in the market and hence there was stabilization of the market gradually. We should expect a rally somehow and i think there will a sensible direction in the markets.

@sollolo yes the volatility has been extreme but it also depends on the brokers whom you are dealing with them. This was due to the nature of flactuating confidence which existed for a month or so it also affected the brokers through their holding banks/investment banks e.t.c which others were on the verge of collapse but i suppose many have since stabilized. It has also been very rough for guys according to my experience during this stint due to the flactuations experienced which were wazimu.
Anyway that does not mean people in the currency markets did not make something, infact as i told you earlier currency market you can get yourself exposed to many risk cushioning methods by sometimes looking for the less volatile currencies though they wont be deep in volume in the market(soft currencies).

On the issue of analysis as we said earlier this market turmoil has been largely based on the underlying fundamentals and it was somehow for those using technicals much cause the flactuations i know really got them on the wrong side most of the time.I suppose that from this experience guys will come to accept that fundamentals are not only long term prospective but determine the technicals in the short term and everyday. All those who were disputing what i @toni @passyson and others who were proffesing for fundamentals can now verify the aspect from this crisis. You need to have information but dont overrely on systems mostly they do lapse and retard you with infor.
,
Sema @toni @passyson @kim @kilabe howz the market??

Hi all guys @toni @ngaatu @passyson and all traders. The market has really been amazing and i have been treading with it carefully as during the beggining of the crisis i lost almost $650 as i tried to cushion myself with technicals and i was really dissapointed with the flactuations and also with my broker too who widened his spread sana. But i have been able to go back to the roots of fundamentals and it has been able to recoup back my losses and with this stability i think things are in shape.

How have been your experience.During this fallout of the equity markets i think currency markets will offfer good investment horizon, infact even the guys in forex bureaus are smiling with the weakening of the shilling.

@all

Am very appreciative of the forum and i have been on the sidelines for some time because i saw the forum was somehow silent for a whole month.
First i want to again warn all the investors out there from unsrupoulous investment guys there who purport to know the investment and offer returns which are "amazing".During the last month i have documented evidence of what one of my neighbour was duped by the same guy called WINNERS CHOICE INVESTMENT which is based in 8th floor at posta sacco plaza is a con guy who is duping people.I WANT TO WARN ALL THE PUBLIC THAT THE WINNERS CHOICE INVESTMENT WHICH ADVERTISES IN THE DAILY NATION LOOKING FOR PARTNERS IN "FOREX",THE GUYS DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING IN FOREX NOR DOES HE HAVE ANY CLUE.THE GUY DEALS IN OVERSEAS JOBS,NANNY AND OTHERS WHICH ARE ALL FLEECING PEOPLE.THE OWNER MR.PETER KAIHENYA IS A CON ARTIST AND PUBLIC PLEASE BEWARE AND TAKE NOTE OF THE ADVICE GIVEN ABOVE.
IF YOU TRY TO CALL TODAY YOU WILL HEAR THERE RECEPTIONIST TELLING YOU A PERSON CAN INVEST FROM AS LOW AS KSH 5000 THIS IS TOTALLY CRAP AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THAT IN INVESTMENT.
2. THEY USSUALLY PAY YOU THE FIRST FOUR MONTHS INTEREST AND THEN TELL YOU THAT BUSINESS IS BAD AND FRUSTATIONS START.
3.IF YOU TAKE HIM TO POLICE YOU WILL ONLY SUE THE FIRM AND HE HAS CORRUPTED THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE.
PLEASE I DO WARN YOU THAT WINNERS CHOICE INVESTMENT IS A CON FIRM,

I would all of you like you to follow what ngaatu and others have advised but most kenyans are ignorant and despise wise information and in this case my own neighbour ignored to take this post seriously and know he is wailing.
But we will deal with him in any way till he give the money back.

as i said earlier i told you that the guy in winners choice and others who i will expose do not know anything about forex and they are just using the word forex to reap people their hard earned funds. There are also others out there who are like that and we are going to assist the public by telling them the facts so that they can shy away from them as they are spoiling the people business fronts which are genuine.
what i am suprised by kenyans is that @NGAATU has given all the basics a person need to ask before getting in any investment but kenyans sadly are lured by the big returns and miracles which in truth are not there. Am sorry for @mtibe but just follow simple reasoning which you are told here by some of us and you will on safe side always.
Just follow the simple reasoning and you will gain a lot in this market. Before anyone invest you need to ask the few guys here on the forum or personal and they will tell you the facts and you can enjoy this good market but if you are hyped or ignorant then you will be blaming for nothing.

i suppose @ngaatu @passyson @toni can confirm that

HARD WORK,HARD WORK HARD WORK

@kilabe

I was warning that the guy in question is a con and the public should be aware and i do concur with you that the information is free and cheap but the people are always going for amazing returns. The one who was having problems with the guy is my friend and we even went several times to the offices at winners choice.i had warned him but before he read the posts he had already invested in winners.

@ngaatu it would be prudent if you and others expose all who you feel do not do genuine things so that you can help us all.

What is your take on the current position in the global economic crisis and how are the markets?

I think i had said it earlier that if anyone does not follow what i had advised with others also you need to be wary of him.
1.You need to ask the person or the firm which broker does he use?
2. Do research on the broker to ensure the genuity of the broker and his perfomance.
3.Get to know the broker yourself and invest the funds yourself.
4.let him tell you the risk exposure all what is required and neccesary.
5.You should have the power to the funds and access your accounts anytime and not any other person to have the power of your funds.

6. Do not be bamboozled by "perfect trading systems" or end up buying signals they are only give or short time and only, take time to look at the market by studying carefully
and looking at all technicals and fundamentals slowly and you will with time know the tricks but dont go for short cuts.

For more information you can refer my previous posts and can ask any other querry if you have again so that you can be sure before you do anything pliz.

This forum is the reason I joined this site. Just good to see some Kenyans trying their hands in the forex market.

As for forex scams. You have seen nothing yet. Your broker offshore could be a scam. It is an open market so do your research very well. My two cents and this works for the Kenyans I have seen advertising and those I see seeking your broker accounts.

1. If anyone offers you more than 5% a month earnings in forex,be very very wary. I promise you if you earn that consistently for 6 months, your broker will employ you. If that has not happened to you,pm me.
2. There is no 3 day forex "intensive" training seminar. It does not exist. If you think it does,go try out a real account and we can compare notes.
3. There is no good forex broker. They all stop hunt and that should be part of your business cost. However, some are better at this than others.
4. Forex bastards, forex homegratus, peace forex or whatever he calls himself now is a conman. If you need info, contact me. I have met a lot of Kenyans falling for this guy Felix. He has been at his game for ages.

Last but not least. Good luck in your trading. it is a good experience for those who make it. If you are profitable day trading with these internet connections, you are good and you should think of offering your services to the world. Not to Kenyans who may not afford your work.

I will be adding my voice to this section rather than making noise at other sections of this site.
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
