The El-nino year has come to an end. The next one year is a la-nina year. Let's wait and see..the bubble with these stocks in the 1990's lasted 3 years.
Depends on whether it affects Kenya alone.Going back to last year the prices shot up due to a decline in global output in major tea producing regions. The inverse correlation between production and prices for me should hold up the performance by tea companies.Look at Williamson even a 50% drop at year end will still see EPS at over 30.But half year will definitely beat the previous. If only the directors get the dividend payout right!

still trying to get in.
just a thought..heard somewhere..aly khan.. that kakuzi, limuru etc might be force to let go of loads of land pieces within this and next accounting period..at current land valuations...and considering most of their land assets are presented at cost in books..u can imagine impact on P&L as this happens..as well as balancesheet as revaluations get reflected.. ..makes potential impact of La Nina laughable don't you think?

The El-nino year has come to an end. The next one year is a la-nina year. Let's wait and see..the bubble with these stocks in the 1990's lasted 3 years.
So I have 2 more years left? [I agree... I hope I have the guts or foresight to sell off by 2012]

Tea Prices (& production) are rocking and rolling in 2010... I hope the Tea Party continues in 2011...

I was in Thika juzi... Kakuzi is seating on some sweet land! They can build an entire self-contained estate/development to rival Buru Buru...
