For a moment,I was fooled by the war on corruption.

But somehow I've managed to see what may in fact be happening. Of course corruption is not fought with prosecution and punishment, but with prayer and alchemy.

So whatever is happening is a spectacle designed to reach certain political ends. Like consolidating power before action...

Why would a judge, whose Job has security of tenure, retires at grave going age, has all the trappings of power, enagage in buloti maguta maguta schemes?

Greed

Really, so judges should not invest the way they want?

Was this an investment?

Emails?

Quote:
Leaked emails have revealed a deep relationship between DCJ Philomena Mwilu and top management of the collapsed Imperial Bank shedding more light on her dealings with the bank.
A series of leaked emails published by The Sunday Standard reveal a close relationship spanning more than 5 years in which Mwilu forwarded the resume of a relative to Mehbooba Shamji Khimji (senior business development manager) for consideration for employment.

“Greetings, forwarded herewith the CV for your necessary action. Kindest regards, Mbete Mwilu,” Read an email from the DCJ.

Shortly afterwards, the relative secured employment with the bank and would prove more useful for other purposes apart from his role as an employee, with the bank relying on him to pass over correspondences meant for Mwilu.

Multiple emails published in the newspaper reveal that the relative was extensively involved at the time of her controversial dealings with the bank that have now landed her in trouble.

“Please follow on the undertaking to make sure (he) goes home with it this evening,” reads one email.
“Morning. He is at work today. I have already informed him that we will need to deliver some documents to (her),”
reads another.

Quote:
The correspondence also reveals that an amount of Sh64.9 million, which was used to repay part of her loan at the bank in December 2015 was deposited by a Ugandan company. The company had been registered three months earlier. The amount, Sh64.9 million, from a Ugandan account held at Crane Bank, was a single transaction.

Crane Bank also had its own problems and it also collapsed. It was later sold by the regulator of banks in Uganda, after Imperial Bank in Kenya also collapsed. The email from a Kihara MN, an official of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), to Imperial Bank explaining the transaction shows that an amount of Sh64,999,450.80 was deposited by RAEI Investments Limited Kampala – which was the ordering customer.

It also appears from the correspondence that before the sudden death of the bank’s boss, Abdulmalek Janmohamed, a business meeting had been arranged between the two sometimes in 2013.

“MD. Justice Mwilu is not answering her phone. I have sent a text. Will revert once I manage to speak with her,” Mehbooba writes to the MD. Soon after, Mehbooba manages to reach Justice Mwilu and she writes another email about two hours later confirming the meeting at 3.15pm on September 30, 2013.

“Dear MD. Further to below, client has said she will come at 3.15pm today, barring any urgent matters at her work place,” Mehboob writes. The subject of the email is ‘Philomena.’ Her relationship with Mehbooba also extended from outside official matters of the bank to include sharing ideas on great tourist destinations.

But ofcourse she can deny that she's the Judge or even deny the email address

Some careers are a real calling and requires some disengagement with mahangaiko ya dunia. It's like a priests vowing to celibacy and they claiming it's too hard.

She seems to have had a lot of time flipping plots, and knowing how Imperial, bank under the late Jan was run, it smells too high heavens why one would have partnered with such a bank.

Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...
