In my own opinion, Safaricom is solid with lots of room for growth. ARPU is still really low for most customers esp data.
Buying season is coming for me

IMHO, many of those Airtel #Resist customers will probably return to Safaricom.

Full year Results are due next month. This reccomendation will just remain an opinion. The price will soar.

Vodacom will not allow safaricom to go regional, same with diageo and the foray into Ethiopia, EABL was not invited

Safaricom has outgrown kenya market. It definately needs to go outside. This will also help it grow more assets and crop up its value which is currently very poor.

Safaricom have Network equipment already setup in Uganda

Wasn't EABL firmly established in UG pre-Diageo?
Wasn't EABL/KBL selling its brands [primarily Tusker] in TZ pre-Diageo?

Factory/plant in Uganda was build after Diageo came into play.
Serengeti Breweries was acquired when EABL was under Diageo.

Yako ndio kelele;
Mpesa is in Uganda is that the same as safaricom has a fully fledged operation there.

In 2000, Diageo acquired majority control of EABL

"Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) - Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania - 51% Shareholding - SBL is the second largest beer company in Tanzania, with a market share of approximately 28% of the Tanzanian branded beer sector. The company was incorporated in 1988 as Associated Breweries Limited. Its name was changed to Serengeti Breweries Limited in 2002. EABL acquired 51% of the issued share capital of SBL in October 2010."[12]

Wasn't Tusker (among others) available in Uganda for decades?
Did EABL have a brewing plant in UG pre-2000?

Back to Safaricom:
When was Vodafone (TZ) established?
When did Vodafone take operational control of Safaricom?

WOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIII. ati safaricom has topped. thats a shocker.and why do this so called investment banks that specialize in scaring institutional investors with the downgrades never post even a single chart to support their view together with a paragraph or two.or they think only fundamental analysts are the one once who will read their blogs and articles.you know why....because with charts you can never fake it.you can never manipulate what volume is saying.you can twist the english language all you want like they do ...hey they are mostly engishmen after all bu chart DONOT LIE.....if you are buying stocks and still believe this BS that safricom has topped and safaricom has so much weight on the index then i think you are doing it WRONG!!!!!!

Safaricom now trying to play catchup in the data segment.
Telkom kenya is winning more and more subscribers.
Since Hellios came into play they have doubled the number of sites on 3G and launched 4G.
They have also increased by 50% their number of sites
