Safaricom normally trades at a P/E of about 20-22 and dividend yield of about 4%.
So you can guess the price it will range

Tested 16.60 intraday and closed unchanged @16.90 on thin volume at these levels. Minimal supply. No sellers!

One month later closes @18.25 and sets a new all time high at 18.40. The resistance at 18 handle is getting dismissed by the breakout.

I will say it for the upteenth time, for as long as Safcom is churning out products that get you glued to your telephony, the more the growth in $$. That story you hear of saturation, cant expand etc is all myth. Execution is key tho.

I think the foreign investors like what Bob told them (he had a FY 16 road show in London and Boston that ended on 6/6) hence the interest.

@Hisah i have an overshoot of 23.5

FT.com real time chart shows bullish candlesticks on expanding Bollinger bands.

There is absolutely no supply.I expect 18.50 to be tested today

As hisah says,the supply side shows there is absolutely no crowd in this Gem

Overshoot at 23.5

Will touch 19.50 or 20 this week.

Path of least resistance remains UP..Bullish three white soldiers before the very short retracement with the low of 18 and also after.

A supply of 600,000 at 18.75 was swiped away like 30 Mins ago

Watching EABL too.The guy has been doing serious volumes at 300

300 is a resistance point..Bids at 300 have been high

It went to 18.75 and dropped to 18.50..Testing whether supply will build

Safaricom is now worth 35% of the 2016/2017 Kenyan budget.
These guys should just be the budget to implement it.
