These people could have been better off under the Arabs. To be enslaved and subjugated. Clearly they cannot handle freedom, rights and responsibilities.

what does decorated mean in kenyan military circles, we have only been engaged in a recent external war, how are military guys decorated if they have not fought, at least in a real war

I think it was unwise for Kenya to act the way it reacted.
What makes Kenya think that the UN will stomach acts of incompetence or take any chances where human life is concerned?

Even if he was innocent, he is not more important than human life.
I support the UN for calling the bluff. Does Kenya think it gives life to South Sudan and if they are not there the country would die?

In addition ...how come Kenya realized that the UN mission in South Sudan is dis-factional when our Commander was sacked?

The UN offered kenya to choose a replacement for Ondieki but Kenya refused.

Mean GORSS has welcomed the decision to fire the kenyan force commander

Kenya is not happy with the way the General was treated. It wasn't his fault per se but structural and systemic issues for which he had no control off.
Also the Head of the mission was allowed to resign and leave the mission gracefully with a note of appreciation yet the buck stopped in her office.when it came to the Kenyan he was kicked out unceremoniously...that move would anger any Commander in Chief.

Kenya is behaving like an erect dick-It can't think through the consequences of it's actions-Kenya deported someone(inconsequential) who expressed an opinion on the matter and has this endangered the lives of so many Kenyan living/working in SPLM/A IO areas in South Sudan.

The UN cannot pretend to Boss over Kenya. It is guilty of treating African countries like S**T,yet it lacks a mechanism of enforcing its mandate and calls upon the same countries for support. It depends on the goodwill of member States.Kenya should not agree to be bullied for the UNs systemic failures. The UN itself has refused to change with time .Most of the Mandates for these peacekeeping bodies have not been reviewed in decades. The rules of engagement remain as they were during the cold war era. What they should have done is told the General to resign quietly and avoid the drama .
