This is free market nonsense is the biggest lie ever told by the West. Please point me one country in this world that has ever practised free market policies.

101.2 printed. £=157 now also a record. I once dreamt I also £=200 and $=150.
And all this happening when the FinMin is in court. What BS are we telling the world? That only Muigai can be FinMin?

The book "confessions of an economic hitman" is printed all over the KES & UGX trends. So what's so special about TZsh that it's only lost 12% #arbitrage# jussayin smile

So today KES is a 2% plus miserable loser against the G10 currencies with GB pound up 3% plus... Crap! That trade deficit will hurt a lot looking at the carnage on USD, GBP and JPY. 2nd hand car dealers will be destroyed by that JPY above 130...

Currently USDKES = 102... Carnage galore with KES down 3% now. Let me sleep now, hopefully this is a bad dream and tomorrow will confirm... Yawa!

‘ The Central Bank remains committed to a market determined
exchange rate for as long as it is supported by fundamentals.’ This quote is via the ngreat Aly Sutchi Khan. But what does it mean?

I have just pulled out my very first passport and looked at what the exchange rate was. Then forex was controlled and was recorded in the passport by the issuing bank. One was entitled to ksh 4,000 worth of forex per year using form T. If you wanted more you had to fill form CZ and put in it a convincing argument for Central Bank. I did and was allowed a total of ksh 20,000 for which I got US$ 1,133 in cash and travellers cheques - rate ksh 17.
