The Exchange Bar Quarterly Forecast for Q3 2017, PBT figures in KES B:
KCB 21.8 Actual 22.4
EQTY 20.4 Actual 20.7
COOP 14.4 Actual 13.7
SCBK 7.7 Actual 6.8
DTB 7.6 Actual 7.5
BBK 7.4 Actual 7.7
I&M 6.6 Actual 6.1
CFC 3.9 Actual 4.3
NIC 3.9 Actual 4.3
HFCK 0.41 Actual 0.23
NBK 0.31 Actual 0.197

Now it's even making more sense for KCB to acquire NBK

Terrible results from the bottom two listed lenders. NBK is virtually worthless since the corporates banking there can easily move to KCB and transfer funds. Buying NBK in its current state is a liability with no value

KCB will buy NBK only if it gets GoK’s business. This includes parastatals that are forced to bank with NBK. KenRe has large deposits at NBK.

Support with documentation which parastatals are forced to bank at NBK.. All parastatals have a free hand in choice of the banker, hence the reason KTDA found itself at Chase Bank but each account opening has to obtain express authorization by the PS Ministry of Finance http://www.businessdaily...159702-ht36hc/index.html
