Shut down the airline and relaunch it with new terms and agreements with suppliers and workers is the long term solution

That should be the best option.
The union, suppliers and other cartels are holding the airline in ransom. No meaningful change will be affected with all these court injunctions.

I honestly dont know why you guys pick SMs side plus also the journalist...

Mckinsey had thoroughly worked on Supply chain management.... The loopholes were very small even before SM came.... Take it from me.... I have talked about HOTAC here more than once a very good example... Haya things like tyres... Fleecing customers on excess baggage and upgrades were tightened by them... Why do you guys think the other Polish guys left early? They found very little to do... ALL and I repeat ALL contracts were reviewed way before SM came... Handling contracts in all outstations etc were pushed down drastically during Mbuvi's and McKinseys time....
The Suppliers you are talking about actually stood with the airline when it had no money... KQ still owes so much in unpaid dues.. If the suppliers also chuck their goodwill KQ will die in less than a week.... SM failed PERIOD let him go back home and do other things....

Its KQ low and mid level staff that have caused the failure of the airline, not management

With the kind of costs you have in this continent very few airlines can make any profit.... You fly to one country youbare charged USD 190 for handling (Embraer) the a graduated fee on the bigger planes you go to another the aviation authority insists a flat rate of handling any aircraft big or small... 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Kenya Airways (KQ) has fired at least 70 contracted staff affiliated to Career Directions Limited (CDL), a recruitment firm.

Reports indicate that crew and staff tasked with ground handling are the most affected.
In 2017, KQ announced tough new terms for contract workers who were seeking to be hired directly by the company.

A report in the Daily Nation said they were expected to sign consent forms to allow Kenya Airways to investigate their backgrounds.

Information assessed included contact of landlords of workers, borrowing history from the credit reference bureau TransUnion, social media and criminal records.
