The Treasury has announced plans to buy out Air France-KLM, local banks and more than 80, 000 individual shareholders from Kenya Airways and delist the national carrier from the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) Transport Principal Secretary Esther Koimett told Parliament on Thursday that the buyout plan comes after the House voted in July to nationalise Kenya Airways to save it from mounting debts. The Transport ministry is working with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to hire a technical expert to conduct a fresh valuation and buying price. There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

I still don't see how nationalization will help it out apart from screwing the minority and giving the bankers more leeway to negotiate their exit with GOK. Very true Highest price minority shareholders will be bought out is ksh.4 Which is 4/- too much. Amazing grace! I don't regret selling at c.KShs 9 bob pre-restructuring which is the equivalent of Kshs 36 post restructuring. Life is short. Live passionately.

And if we can buy your argument, what would that do to their own holding? What about KLM? I put it here to those who are bold traders at heart, it is time to gamble!
