GENUINE NEWS!
Ksh. 8 interim is equivalent to over 40% Return at closing of Ksh. 19.25
Those inside are strong, strong but trapped. Yes, the shareholders will receive the KES 8, but collateral damage reeks. Looking forward to ex dividend date 14.07.2025 share correction. Interesting times to be alive
Umeme at 10% limit for today and zero supply despite an over 400K shares demand at 19.75.
Happy Hunting
Is there a company in the NSE that has ever given an interim div of Ksh 8.00 ?
WTK several times
What's the cost of the stock? Ksh 225 vs Umeme Ksh 20.00. Currently Umeme @ Ksh 21.00 is still giving a return of 38% way higher than any stock in the market.A purchase @ 21.00 will only be bad if sold @ 21-div8= 13.00 and I dont see that happening soon considering this is the interim dividend.
Are the buyers aware that it has gone out of business and the only predictable(ish) source of revenue is under litigation?
The last supper 14.07.2025
Collateral damage at it's peak. Information asymmetry will often bury a seasoned investor. Never imagine that you know more, unless you actually know more

Just seen some funds checking into my account, I don't have any oother company paying around this time. Could it be the Umeme dividends? Who else has received?

Headed below it's fair value of KES 7.30. Certainly KES 5 incoming

@KenyanOracle, my thoughts are with you in this challenging chapter. Personally, I would only take this share if it's given as a gift, free of charge
