A real TA would not be buying into the market right now, a real TA would have bought into the market when this thread started...A real TA would be waiting for a confirmation...I.e 3500 broken then re tested...if 3500 is not broken...a real TA would profit take and wait for the dip...

There's also another CD! regional presence and not tied to local (KENYA) strings/politics.

My thoughts too but looking at individual stocks rather than the index. E.g. a TA would have bought uchumi sub 8 and watch the previous resistance of around 14. If its not broken he will sell. If 14 is broken with momentum and volume, then he will hold or buy more regardless of "high price"

@Aguy,its turnover today speaks volumes!Lookout for the same scenario Monday. That should tel u something! And it has nothing to do with the divs.
Thou the increase in fuel prices is bound to slowdown the party in the short run,KK wil come out strong!
The interest in this stock is simply amazing, ofcourse partly to do with the oil prospects!

I agree it got nothing to do with the dividends. The turnover was interesting the highest in months.
Lets see if the high turnover will become a pattern. I highly doubt though. I wouldn't say the interest is high, the demand high, compare with KCB now thats alot of interest. like when KK it was doing 7M shares a day during interim dividend last year, there was alot of interest then. we'll get a clear picture next week, even equity is waking up after being dormant.
