RIP Fast&Furious :( We'll definitely Miss you

@Wendz
Kindly keep us posted on the burial arrangements and how we can help?

@All
It's so sad that we've lost a long time member of this forum.. I was away and just got back to this very sad news. Some of us had planned to visit F&F in hospital this wknd..but the Good Lord decided otherwise. Sad,lakini as the french say C'est la vie..

I remember meeting F&F at a mbuzi sometime in 2009, and he seated next to me and spent the rest of the mbuzi happily chatting away. He was truly gifted in the 'talking a lot' department :) Anyway,we exchanged business cards, and since then,we have been exchanging business and connections every so often. He was a really good & respectful guy,and is one Wazuan i do not regret meeting.

Sometime last year, his cell phone went mteja and i couldnt track him anymore,so we lost contact. Being an off and on visitor in Nairobi myself,i attend weekday mass at the Holy family whenever i can,and i suddenly started seeing F&F in church everytime i went for Masss(since late 2009). We would meet after mass & exchange pleasantries or nod knowingly if seated close to each other in church. He seemed very dedicated to church and would kneel and pray with such zeal...especially as from early this year. At some point,he disappeared again, only to later re-appear looking a little too red on the face(he was very light skinned btw)and i thought it was a cream he was using or just the battles of life.. He also seemed a little distant, even in conversations and not his usual chirpy self.

Just recently,a mutual friend told me about F&F's ailment and sufferings(just before he posted on Wazua) and i was purtubed! When he posted it on Wazua..i was very disturbed especially when he talked about dying in less than 3months. I couldnt trace him anymore & my visits to church for weekday mass were disrupted due to a tight work schedule,so we lost touch. Last i saw him,was on Kenyatta avenue, and he looked very very different. I was in deep conversation with a client,so F&F just nodded knowinlgy, smiled and walked away... that's my last memory of him........

He was a good, hard working, social & God fearing man. May he RIP

PS: Special request to the catholics on Wazua. Since F&F loved the church so much, and this being Rosary month, please say at least one Hail Mary in memory of F&F OR if you can, dedicated a whole rosary to him. I think it's the best gift we can give him, whether we knew him personally or not. Thnaks in advance

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
I can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter of your life is through

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

And with the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you live in
Is the strength that now you show

We'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

I read FF's posts and deep down something told me this is not just any other post...no words!

I never responded to any of them but I felt like you were someone I personally knew.

To Wendz & Leona, and all thanks for putting a face to my mind though I have never met him.

FF, I am shell shocked by your demise...even though you saw it coming.

FF, rest in peace Bro...Wazuan's will certainly miss you.

28 is too young to die, too young to carry the multiple shocks he did like losing his family and terminal illness. Such pain. Such weight of sadness. But now you are rested, bro.
You have fought the good fight with all thy might.
Happy are those who die in the Lord.
RIP bro.

Finally there is a line that we as wazua family can use to send our contributions for F&F's arrangements. This is 0716 542 109. It is a safaricom line.

All receipts will be posted here as we have always done with similar monetary contributions for transparency.

I pledge to keep any 'personal' info received during this process as confidential as confidential itself can be. Therefore, it will be good if you could kindly follow up with an sms indicating your 'wazua' name so that we can keep track on what and who's sent for reporting purposes.

Things are yet to fall into place yet as far as plans are concerned but when i get more info, i will keep posting here so that those who are able and willing to attend the meetings can do so.

Quite saddened by the whole F&F story and passing. Hope he had close family members to comfort him during these trying moments. In Wazua he had friends like no other. Rest in peace.

RIP F&F,

Was just reading your post no.56 of this thread. What did you know? I hope your legacy leaves on and you were able to help others with whatever you left behind as you had wished.

This post disturbed me for long. When FnF mentioned being in a retreat,I thought he must be a Catholic and I do have a feeling I may know him.
I will appreciate if @Wendz or @ Leona one day you let us know his real Identity.
How can we in diaspora help?

I will dedicate a Rosary for his soul and the Message he left with us.

May the perpetual light shine upon his soul,May it Rest in Peace.Amen
