There was quite some discussion about Saha's offside goal after the match. Koscielny tried to control the ball before it reached Saha, ostensibly putting him onside..that's how the official looked at it. Had the ball hit Koscielny by mistake and gotten to Saha, they reckoned he'd have blown the whistle.
The other school of thought is that the official should have blown the whistle immediately the ball was played in, even before Koscielny tried to control it. Most guys belong to the second school, including Wenger, Moyes and me. But the scoreline wound up the debate though they should come out clearly.
As for the Man Utd game, it's only Friedel who prevented Rooney from scoring a hat trick. Teams should be afraid to see him regaining his goal scoring form.
