Rank: Member Joined: 2/8/2007 Posts: 808		I think we have suffered too much that whatever little is thrown our way we over-celebrate and thank whoever it is that delivered with reverence of the Holy Pope which is very very wrong. It just shows how our national pride, dignity and self esteem has been desecrated by our leaders. Look, commuter rail is a much needed item in Nairobi and Mombasa but that Syokimau is a poorly executed project and reeks of corruption. Don't also mix issues the Mombasa Kampala railway is the priority and infact we ought to slow down every other project and allocated resources to this yesterday. One other thing, the syokimau train uses heavy industrial diesel which is also a pollutant..decent commuter trains use electricity from the mains...

The same "clean electricity" is being generated by burning some heavy diesel fuel someplace. Its a convoluted world my friend. The thermal plants are meant to be temporary but they have a way of coming up before elections to provide funding- again bad choices..
