Looks like there is very little new content being generated regarding stocks of late. And the main contributors, VVS et al have gone rather quiet. What's happening? Is this the calm before the storm?

@magnetictouch - I am sorta tapped out for cash. I have invested in my core portfolio... and not looking at much more...

Why? I have done my research & picked what are good firms at [current] good prices...

The rest I cannot control!

What's the point of the cash?

If I find a great investment... will I not use the cash anyway? [I believe all my investments are very, very good]

VVS, why is it that you avoid discussing financials? Ama emotions run too high in those threadsLaughing out loudly I don't think so as you engage in Safaricom threads, na huko people hurl insults on a daily basis. Also conspicuosly missing from your 3 year picks. Unga made it!

Safaricom is not something I hold. It is a good company but too pricey for me [vs KK, KPLC, etc]
Financials - I have an interest in them but I found most of them pricey when I chose my picks!
KK, KPLC, Williamson, Unga will all make very good profits but the prices will lag the profitability!

Thanks for your candid response. Are you still holding KQ? It does not appear among the above.

Yes. Why? Coz at 37, it remains 'cheap'. I expect excellent profits for FY 2010-11.

Also the 'depreciation' of the KES means the NAV will jump since KQ holds lots of cash in forex [US$] as well as planes [value exceeds loans]...
