So now this Malaysian Flight 370 was last detected flying over a small island hundreds of miles from the flight's usual route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. If this new data is correct, the aircraft was flying in the OPPOSITE direction from its scheduled destination and was on the opposite side of the Malay Peninsula from its scheduled route.

I can only trust the FR24 data that is available. FR24 receives ADS-B position data from aircraft twice every second and so far the data hasn't shown any diversion. To confirm Flightradar24.com data, you can log onto their website and monitor flights landing or taking off at JKIA.

The fact that close to 20 families are able to call the passengers leaves some hope.

According to China.org.cn, 19 families have signed a joint statement saying that their family members' cell phones connected, but the calls hung up

WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED?

A mid-air explosion: The lack of debris could be explained by it falling into Malaysian jungle

A terrorist attack: Director of CIA has said terrorism could not be ruled out

Power failure: Possibly caused by deliberate cutting of power to communication instruments

Electronic warfare: 20 passengers on board were experts in this technology.

Hijacking: Radar data indicates the plane might have made a U-turn.

A pilot error: There is a chance of them in all air mysteries, claim experts

Structural failure: Possibly involving damage sustained by an accident in 2012

Pilot suicide: There were two large jet crashes in the late 1990s caused by this

Aeronautical black hole: Plane is stranded hundreds of miles from current search area

am thinking most likely the highlighted in red.

Still Missing!!!

I still don't understand how from Saturday up to now the plane /or any of its remains haven't been found.

Maybe the plane crashed in a dense forest hence the lack of sighting so far. Maybe there are survivors stranded somewhere.
