Court cases continue to come up.

Oil marketer KenolKobil is demanding Sh119.3 million ($1.4 million) from the Kenya Petroleum Refineries Ltd as compensation for losses incurred following failure by the refinery to issue a letter of credit for the import of crude oil in August. This led to cancellation of the tender.

I have not heard how the hearing went re: KPC 'blocking' the takeover. Some of these judges are battling for their 'positions' including the ones hearing the KK cases. This is going to be a problem as these cases languish in court.

One of the judges had 200+ judgments not delivered. Crazy!

The next panic episode will be squeaky than the last one. I expect the nexr shakeout to last a bit longer but with a slow mo price dip. Then the deal news should see a gap up of double digit gains. Hydrocarbon M&A deals are ulcer centrals. Get used to the volatility.

The cautionary announcements were first issued in March 2010, looking at the graph it was trading at below 875, the mandatory take-over opened on the 27th of Aug-2012 to 17th Sept-2012.
Based on the price at initial announcement and the offer price i bet you can clearly see there was a premium..

This was the offer made by Puma but the final results are not known. Or I do not have them. It will be interesting to see where it ends up.
