Have you seen the disproportionate death toll among the black americans? In some areas they are suffering 70% of the reported deaths yet they make 30% of population. The cheap fast food/poor diet is a huge contributor to the lifestyle diseases making them vulnerable to covid.

Is Boris Johnson black? Is prince charles black? Are all the dead italians, spaniads, frenchmen, britons, chinese black?

When the white man is faced with tough and hopeless situations he has to find excuses and distractions to hide his helplessness and console himself. In the US itself the number of dead is 70% white, 15% black, and asians plus ethnic minorities is 15%. Why concentrate on and highlight the 15% dead blacks and not the 70% dead whites?

So a global pandemic sweeping throughout the world has now been reduced to what is happening in black ghettos in US cities? Should kenya also release its data and say whites are more likely to be infected coz they make up only 0.1% of the population but account for 50% of the cases?

Really? has it

You of all people must understand there is such a thing called FACTORS that make people susceptible to this and other diseases. Are there systemic factors? YES. Do they need to do better - HELL YES! Anyone pointing to just one of these is being simplistic and disingenuous.

It's the same as for Crime and Jailing - there are factors that contribute to occurrences.
Secondly, Kindly check your stats - black people don't make "0.1% of the population". I suggest you refresh your statistics.

I don't know about you - but I can chew gum and skate stairs at the same time! I can discuss MULTIPLE FACTOR that SEEM to determine the morbidity and mortality of Corvid-19. These are things such as universal BCG, Excercise, Immuno Compromised systems, poor diets, Masks in a society, Authoritarian states doing better (or presenting better data) than democratic states, old age, Some of them are society based (Europeans have older people making percentages), bravado of societies.

I know it insults your programming but systemic racism is A FACTOR!

Back home people who had visited their rural homes have to learn how to pick tea and coffee because they might be stuck there for a while. Delmonte workers who live in Kabati can no longer go to work.

A few weeks ago when people were speculating that the blackman was not catching this disease @sqft didn't have a problem. Now that the data is out discussing that data is a problem? What is the issue if people choose to discuss the fact that black people are dying disproportionately? Don't you think may be it would be wise to highlight that systemic issues are a contributor?

By the way, you can choose to not comment on opinions raised just don't gag anyone

This thing has baffled even experts. Even WHO is saying don't use masks, no use masks.

Still a question about the relatively slower spread in Africa and South East Asia.

Me thinks after this weekend if numbers remain the way they are(more so in terms of deaths),we can start thinking on a cautious back to work formula.

That baffling thing whatever it is will continue protecting us.

Remember some Doomsday guys had predicted 5000 by mid April,well..........we continue washing hands, social distancing and staying at home and now let's wear masks.

Since this infection is new to mankind, it is improbable that any group of people could have developed immunity as yet...so this line may not be the answer. But....given that the mode of spread has been largely through air transport, is it possible this is where the answer lies... Africa's share of world air traffic data is about 1%. Can it be a coincidence that the total number of infections in Africa is also just about 1% compared to world data?

Covid-19 has no experts!! the most experienced people in it have what?.. 5 months of experience? it's difficult to run experiments in a pandemic. anything evidence-driven requires testing in a huge number of environments and scenarios.
I think it's fine for people to recant what they said after better evidence comes around. This is not a religion that sticks to what it claimed regardless of what future evidence presents itself.
