EACC officials have ordered Cord leader Raila Odinga to honour their summons over the Sh250 billion Eurobond saga on Monday or face arrest.

Raila was served with police summons on Thursday following commission CEO Halakhe Waqo's warning that he would face legal action if he defied the orders.

The drama moment he always yearned for has presented itself. He will not disappoint in the acting.

Lock himself up in his office with a battery of lawyers and call the press to cover the event.

Tactics of 1980 cannot be applicable in 2015.Kenyans are brighter now.
It looked cool then when he was younger with energy to run the course.Today he looks odd and tired.A disgruntled, bitter old man trying to poke government to see how it reacts.

Raila. Aendelee hivyo. Let the treasury tell all Kenyans how each and every shilling was spent. Remember its from the same cash where the 8700/= pens came from. Its not railas work to do so.
Telling us that money was given to ministries is not enough. How was it spent

Don't quite get it why Rao can't present himself. He just needs to go say he doesn't understand how money was spent, no visible project, he's requested statements from Majuu but hasn't received, etc. And then tell eacc to investigate and hand over report to him and rest of kenyans. Really he's giving govt a lot of mileage with this seemingly egoistic character

Raila is in opposition. The information he has is for his own benefit sio kusaidia competitor.

Actually I dont quite get it why you dont get it..Statements belong to the GOK not him, he was asked by treasury to go scrutinize them akakataa he said yeye ni mtu mkubwa, they are posted on the website. As for the projects; this money was to fill in the gap ya budget and finance the existing roads completion of rail (makadara) and airport (terminal 4 and greenfield). He told Kenyans that the money was stashed in some personal accounts in US - Why cant he produce the evidence for this claims, He also said he knows who the accounts belong to, all he needs is to mention them..if he doesnt then hio yote ni porojo actually in the west he'd be sued

But Mpigs have shown Raila stole 12.5billion as Prime Minister from euro bond funds, he also set up a lot of fake companies to siphon euro bond money whose contracts were cancelled, he has information urgently needed by eacc. His own counterpart in CORD midiwo pointed out that someone in CORD chewed the NYS funds, he was categorical about the set-up of moles in garment by code. So now Raila diverts attention to innocent and uses his political clout to mislead the gullible public (the ones he thinks for). At least Wikileaks shares globally how this fellow is just a bad a thief. Where do you think he gets his money?

The tactics are working perfectly...arrest him for such bullshit and see what will happen...We have motherf***ers galvanting around with stolen billions others telling people to arm themselves in preparation of hacking other tribes free, appearing on tv doing interviews....Then you go ahead and arrest someone for showing cash was stolen....surely bullshit of the highest order.

Stupidest move ever.....really this GoK is full of retards.

Arrest a crook, show you're serious about corruption. Arresting the Opposition is height of folly, this will backfire badly.

Don't worry @maka. Jubilee seems to be in full self-destruct mode. How anyone can see this ending well for jubilee beats me. Unfortunately, my people imagine .ke starts and ends with us.

@muchknow and others. Did you know your candidate did extremely well last time in nyamira, kisii, kitui and migori counties ? Am talking over 300k votes.
I want you to take a moment and consider a reasonable and objective voter from these regions. It would help to know that tribe is not a key consideration. All he wants is what is the best for his country.

But who am I kidding. You got the tyranny of numbers don't you?

Ujinga ingine ni kaa Kurogwa.Yes we know Raila is not and has never been clean.
But for now we are interested in Eurobond issues accountability and runnaway corruption in the current gov then after that you can raise those other diversionary sideshows you clutching on.N between if i may ask, do you honestly think this govt or the nusu mkate one could have had any credible info about Railla eating without ripping him naked considering the way he has always tried to muddy them at the slightest opportunity.

I fail to see any political advantage in even attempting to arrest Raila. He shall milk one to the very end. The guy must even be waiting to be seen running around nairobi being chased by cops. That's his bread and butter and we are busy warming the oven.

So you want to arrest him for what exactly? Saying money was stolen? Seriously if Kenyans were to be arrested for saying something, wazua would be closed.

The issue is simple. If the EACC sees no evidence that any money was stolen, they should just say, we have found that no money was stolen.

This mud slinging games with Raila always end up badly for everyone else.

I really would like to know exactly what they will charge him with.

Failing to appear after a summon? How long do you think Raila can milk a "crime" like that one?

This Eurobond is something very interesting indeed. It has everyone all messed up. Either it was stolen or not. I don't know where all these games are coming from.
