Nobody has bitten at that price yet.
It needs the price and volumes to go up for a few days to confirm the interest. I think it would be too early for the bull to start now.

@wa-ithaka,even if somebody placed a bid with their broker at 13.50,why would the broker go ahead and execute at the higher price there being lower offers.? Well of course apart from his own interests.

@wathaika and cnn its clearly you pple dont want to see Unga up...anyways www.mystocks.co.ke and www.rich.co.ke confirm that there were deals done at 13.50...sellers are setting the price at the moment look at the demand-supply disequilibrium....the only way to get those shares is to bid up...that tells u when the results come in this stock will fly....

Stop being an idiot. Why would I want to pat 13.50 for a stock where sellers abound at 12.75?

[/quote]Not in this case coz you are accusing (even if jokingly) me of market manipulation which is ILLEGAL in Kenya. Furthermore, what may be a joke to you may be reported to the CMA who has the right to open an investigation.
Will I be cleared? YES
Do I want the hassle? NO

@VVS there's nothing illegal about bidding up a price.... I remember taking jubilee from 174-190 but dont remember getting arrested for it....
But i can assure you i have nothing to do wit unga's price.... But there is some retail investor out there responsible for this.... No institution can dare touch this stock even if they give a bonus

if 13.50 is the right price and you want the shares right away...why should my broker stop me from bidding that high after all we know how illiquid Unga is i had to wait 4 days for my order to go through in between i had to write several emails to my broker...actually retail investors are better than jittery foreign investors...look at Safaricom and KQ supply is always high than the demand...the high wheat prices will increase Unga's margins...the maize waiver is still in place the only thing against them is the weak Shilling which increases input costs...

@the deal retail investors can be foreign and retail and institutions can be foreign and retail.. But institutions both foreign and local cannot touch this stock based on their principles.... But they'll be forced to look at it only if there is a super dividend yield...
