salaams,

who would you recommend as the most efficient and effective stock broker based on the below criteria/criterion:

-> most swift in executing orders to sell or acquire stocks/bonds etc.

-> timely updates on stock movements.

-> electronic/e-mail access of CDS a/c to monitor movements/transactions.

-> any other facilities that would help to make appropriate decisions regarding stocks/bonds etc.

Equity only offers custodian services not advice,they are new to the tricks of stock brocking and this being not their core busines,i have found them very slow....one credit though after you sell,the time to get your cash is very short.

..Grass is always greener at the other side of the fence... so the most efficient stock broker is always the one you do not use and is eagerly trying to win over more clients! smile smile

when all is said and done.. our brokers are not automated..they are people to deal with..just like you..and will often fall prey to suffer weaknesses and frailties associated with boredom, lethargy and a god-complex.

like all men, they are wont to favor more moneyed fellows and won't have time for "small" investors..

for you to get a broker right with you..build your relationship with the one individual in that office who has access to your account. you ain't dealing with a machine.

I do business with AAK. Generaly they are good but truth be told- they aint good on the od board. Never end up with od shares that aint a multiple of 100. Otherwise,lets make money-the end justifies the means.

NIC;

Remember when I needed to take some cash out? It was RTGSed [is there such a word] to my account pronto on T+4.

If you have a account with the bank [which I don't] you can do transactions online.

The rest of us use emails... good enough

"lugha ya mtaa". This is as good a reason as any. The second point on buy orders being pronto appears to be an afterthought. LOL!

In my book one broker is as good as the next as long as they are financially sound. Online links help, but have you ever tried ammending an order online at CSFS during trading hours?
