In the agricultural sector the key to survival is to be cash rich - to always hav allot of cash in the reserves. And with unga beign in the agriculturals they know this first hand and the huge dividends some of yot ar expecting u'll b so so so disappointed.wtk,sasini retaind allot of cash which is quite evident in their divident payout.....just a word of caution.

Unga is not an 'agricultural' firm but an industrial firm. It has no farms. Calling Unga an agrcultural firm is like calling EA Cables a mining firm coz it uses mostly copper + aluminium in making cables...

I meant its an ' agricultural ' firm because its core business depends on agriculture thats growing of maize. I hope u get the connection between the two.

Using this definition, many Kenyan firms are 'agricultural' since the business is heavily dependent on agriculture...

- CMC sells tractors, pickups to farmers for business use.
- NBK, KCB, Equity all lend significant amounts to farmers, mama mbogas, miraa transporters, horticulture exporters
- KQ is Kenya's largest carrier for 'food' to Europe & Middle East
