Wololo! I've seen this new promo doing the rounds allegedly from 26-Jan to 08th-Feb. Even received a couple of SMS.

So what do you guys think? And why is it only for 14 days, a kind of test or are the new CCK rules already in play? Comes to about 4,000/= per month - maybe works if you've got a couple of movies to download... OR 24 season 8

@bird_man smile I've to wonder though whether this promo in particular will be successful. Does it actually succeed in changing user behaviour?

If you are on Orange / Zuku / Access, I don't actually see it making you move. Unless it is for longer, and unless you're spending more than 4,000/= a month. And it would be difficult to move if you perceived it as an offer for a short time.

But maybe it's aimed at all those guys who keep crying Zain is too slow. Or it may just make existing Safaricom guys spend more - will see.

Clearly it is strategic to test the market to identify if there will be a success or not and to see if SF competitors can match the demand.

Ultimately, a war of price cuts will benefit subscribers.

The ultimate winners will always be the telecom companies.

Lets hope that the service improves and that the tel coms can cope with the demand for faster connections, improved download times and capacity at a competitive cost to attract and keep loyal consumers.

I suspect we will have to wait until fibre optic kicks off and is better organised!
