Hi all. I am planning to write a will. Not that I'm planning to go anywhere soon but I don't want to make the mistake most of us make of thinking that only certain people - big fish, old guys, people with complex family setups etc. - are supposed to have wills.

I'm seeking information on a reliable, cost effective manner of doing this. I have heard of lawyers being compromised to change wills after one is dead or keeping some of the property for themselves. Someone also told me that you can keep one in a bank but I don't have enough information on this.

Please feel free to share any information related to this including good/ bad stories/experiences you have heard of different approaches. Thank you.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

@Wendz

A will should be made regardless of one's financial status.

...your plate and spoon? You need to make it clear who it will go to. Otherwise,as soon as you are out of sight, your uncle or one of your brothers in law ( who thinks you are a bad character, because since his brother married you,he can't have access to his brother's jacket!!!) will be helping himself to everything you have ever owned... The situation is usually terrible when both parents are absent and the kids have to suffer...

the easiest thing to do....

is to look for trusted administrators of the Will....

and to make sufficient copies.....

safely store them in electronic and other forms....

usually ...

the trusted agent..

will only be compromised when there is someone to compromise the situation......

there are secret technicalities...

which I can not divulge here...

that is my 'unga'.....

there are also commercial options to protecting property.......

Write the will or get somebody to write for you
get a lawyer and another person to be present who all sign in as witnesses on the material date. You have to do this otherwise its invalid.
Some of the banks have a safe where you can kee p the document. O/wise build safe at home

I hear the will can be nullified by a court if its deemed unfair E.g those who do not name their daughters as inheritors.

you can achive all things through Him(Jesus Christ)
