...a good shylock? my foot !!!. Why do you want to finish yourself. Rather than going to a shylock, sell thatTV,bed, fridge (whatever you have to raise that 100K). In any case,an auctioneer will come for them and sell them for a song!!!

Payment rate In most cases its 10% per month. That's 120% p.a. Be very careful. These guys are selling to you money at a very high rate! Please run for your dear life unless its emergency!

Kenyanboy,Why do u want to get urself into a trap so vicious?? There are No 'good' shylocks-ever. Look for the money elsewhere,or just sell a few stuff like advised to get the money.Dont get into this trap bro,u will regret it.

My friend, you don't have to go that far. Sample this. I have a very good friend who really tries it in business. I know him well coz i'm alway's privy to what he is doing. So,he comes and asks for 100k to refund after 2 weeks with 10k on top. I get his logbook and he signs the vehicle transfer form, after which i hand him the 100k. After two weeks,he asks for a days extention and i start to worry, starts chasing him around. After a day,he pays the 110k and i return him his docs. He comes back after a month and we repeat the process once again.

Approach a friend but treat it business like. A security and interest is a must. The reason for a friend is that he'll be in a good position to assess you. Kama hakuna rafiki, then go to the streets.

Life is too short.

Gee,are you for real? That’s theft.

you know,a buddy of mine was telling me that that’s the way he operates and i asked him if his conscience bothers him and he said no

I though he was joking. Logbook, sign transfer papers? Cos of 100k?

Talk of peaceful robbery

Not robbery, its called shylock. Now imagine 10K in two weeks. That is 10% in two weeks. If the friend was to be consistent then it would be 20% in 1 month, that translates to 240% in a year.

Now,tell me,Kenyanboy,is this what you want. The risk of loosing your assets to shylocks?

I have dealt with proffessional 'shylocks' what u can call MFI. They are transacting clean biz. The issue is ability to pay. I have used them for the last 3 years. Most of them are run by former bankers. Not the usual quakes guys are talking about here. Only that their rates range from 15%-25% pm.

info is money

@ ali,for your info, this is not a business i run. It was a very particular case. Wish you knew how much my friend was making with my 100k. This was a guy who had previously refused a joint venture with me so why spare him or take any risks? I was just out to genuinely help.

Life is too short.

Thanks all for your responses. I have asked a few of those who advertise on the paper but they have terms which I'm not comfortable with. I have a Peugeot 307 whose log book I can put up as security. I want to borrow the 100K for 1 month and I would be willing to pay 10% interest. I'm trying to get the cash through other means, but I'm prepared to use a shylock as a last resort.

Kenyanboy, you can easily find a good shylock - just check next to the honest politician, who might be standing next to the affordable lawyer,in case you can't make them out, they are the two people watching a unicorn and flying pig...
