@McRaggae

How exactly does one become a shylock,is it viable and how viable is such a business. Anybody who borrows from Shylock has to be very desperate and the posibility of default is most likely 50;50.

Do you need muscle to scare defaulters like in the movies?

How simple is it to dispose off collateral,

You've to sign a contract b4 a commissioner for oaths. The contract could be legally bidding but I'm not sure if shylocking! is legal.

Open a gamming store. Back in the day there was Pop-In next to the Burgerland Restaurant.

Your srategy - Open in an estate shopping center,Get a shop & buy at least 2 - 3 29' flatscreen tvs (@ 29k) get some second hand Xbox or PS2's and get some furniture and decor done. Charge kids to play. Some guy at Mugoya shopping Center does this quite successfully. Combine it with Video lib,Popcorn,ice cream etc...

Obi,if somebody wants 10K wat u take from him must be worth more than 20K,to protect uaself what u sign with him is a loose sale agreement coz shylocking is illegal in Kenya by law. Do an auction every month for the items whose owners have defaulted!!!

@robatwag.I wish it was that easy to know where to put money and get such high returns.Before you put your hardearned money into any business the overiding question is do you like the business.Can you go through the good and bad times of the biz.Is it what yould want to do given another alternative.This will give you the drive to succeed.

Aiiiiii that's a lot of money. This is what I'd do:

Take half,eh,and buy a website. A website that earns money.

125,000 = ~ $1,560

That's good money. But the trick is to find a site that isn't complicated to run,and one which has a nice passive income. It may not be 25,000 at the start but with websites there's always room to grow.

And as I said you buy one where there is passive income. So you can take some time to understand it while it is earning. Improve it and you earn higher.

Then,if it earns higher...why not sell it? You can make good profit this way. My friend once bought a site for $400 and sold it for $2000 three months later. After we spruced it up a bit.

Anyway,that's just me. Think about it.
