M-Shwari with CBA
All loans 30 days at 90% pa
Maximum amount of 100,000
Loan after depositing some money
Default has your line frozen

Fixed deposit interest at 6%pa for six months


KCB Mpesa account
30 day loan at 48%pa; 90 day loan for 36%pa; 180 day loan for 24%pa
Maximum amount of 1m.
Borrow right away
Loan up to 1m

Fixed deposit interest of 3%pa (1mnth) to 6%pa (12mnths)

Safaricom is very smart, allow all banks to lend via Mpesa, collect transaction fees and some fees through the agreement for infrastructure use.
Note no Risk for Safaricom.

If Equitel also comes into the picture guys are dead meat!
There are guys who will be borrowing Mshwari.....pay using another loan from KCB.....and pay KCB with one from Equitel.

The only way KCB can succeed so well with the getting of deposits from mpesa is to get a spot in the mpesa menu instead of another USSD. They already had one where you can open an account etc... just get safaricom to place KCB Mpesa right below M-Shwari and people will no longer have to spend so much time on USSD which we never remember. I cant even remember the one for Pepea card. Humans are designed to follow the easiest route. I stack emergency funds on mshwari
