I heard the same guy denying (via radio news bulletin) he ever said the project is a whiter than pamba. The Tana river waters are ever in more demand, the Nairobians plan to tap water from the upper catchment for the Nairobi water supply

I saw the cs on tv juzi at the site and he did not mention anything to do with the project stalling - I thinks it's a massive project and it's still early days, but whether we celebrate its failure or success - at the end of the day when through its a project that can be of great benefit to the country at large.

The bad part with our journalists they don't ask for figures, which leaves us speculating.
we may be pouring in Billion's to this project but getting a very smallt return.Better subsidize the farmers with those Billions.

You just need to work your fingers and look at the budget.

We have been subsidizing farming since 1963 and that is not going away but capacity has to be expanded

The project is still at the initial stages but here is the presentation of the expected outcome

Exactly. Why should we be importing sugar from sudan and rice plus oranges from Egypt grown via irrigation by waters of the nile? If they can utilise the nile, we can also utilise our tana and athi rivers. It's not rocket science.
