Impressive the purpose and determination in the announcement, but then the market is falling.

Increase of authorized share capital by 20% to 1.2bn
Rights issue of 22mn shares at ____ to raise ... (my guess about 150/= to raise say 3.3bn)

The question is will PPT come out strongly if the index sinks to 4600 level? A number of IPOs were planned for float this year. IPOs as well as rights issues with a sinking markets don't mix. Remember britank and TCL back in 2011... KQ in 2012...

@The deal was spot on.

Market may be in a lull the last few weeks but this is a small rights issue which will be fully subscribed.

Check out the SIB morning brief for today. In general its hard to get the rights. Im planning to buy the shares in the market, during the period of uncertainty and dilution Pray

I'm thinking of buying the rights off the sellers . I noticed at one time, the of rights trading price can do a plunge! if I can get at 35 I consider that fair. 165+35=200

also the share price will plunge during moments of uncertainty another point to strike.
say 190-225

also there's always the buying 100 shares and applying for many rights to be distributed on a pro rata basis. with this method you can get a 22% of what u order if like last time. average can approach 165 depending on how many you apply for.

then when new shares start trading the share will be depressed for a while before the rally. 190-230.

with those prices in mind one can know when to strike.

What does pro-rata mean?

The rights are shared out according to shareholding of the applying shareholder?

or

The rights are shared out according to the number of extra shares applied for per shareholder?

Here are the previous results

So this thing has hit Kes. 280 in today's trading. Looks like the Kes. 165 rights issue price has caused a rally.
