V-Power for GDI Engine

I recently read in the Adam Magazine for the Month of June that Mitsubishi GDI Engines respond better to V-Power Fuel. I wonder if this is true because from my experience, the only reason why most GDI engines die is due to lack of proper maintenance mainly due to ignorance by our many Toyota Mechanics.
Dont do what you will regret come the next morning.

is there a recognized Mitsubishi Garage out there that can handle service for GDI engines?

GDI- Gasoline Direct Injection engine is meant for gasoline grade of fuel more pure than unleaded petrol. Such has not been available in the Kenyan market. V-Power is a high grade fuel and yes it gives a car a different performance level.
I've been using unleaded petrol for sometime now and about a month ago fueled at Total Station Embakasi. The following morning I had trouble with the car,no power and it literally cut off the engine. This continued and it could only move after the engine warmed up for like 5 min. I went to my mechanic who diagnosed use of adulterated fuel (petrol + kerosene),changed fuel filters etc. I then switched to V-Power,today I feel the Subbrrrr on the road.

GDI enbgines do have better performance on Shell v power because its a higher octane fuel. The GDI technology has been adopted by Mercedes(E350CGI engine),VW Passat(1.8TFSI engine)-Uhuru's ride. GDI/FSI/CGI are the engines of the future .This aversion to the GDI engines is because Kenyans are ignorant and averse to maintenance.
I would recommend PAC- industrial area for your GDI.The rules for maintaining GDI engines are : Correct spark plugs and good quality fuel.

JK how are kenyans ignorant and averse to maintenance if all that is different from the other cars, as you state is correct spark plugs and good quality fuel.

I am doing research on GDI and so far I think it boils down to knowledge (as in it is not a bad engine just different), service and maintenance. GDI is the future so the sooner you embrace it the better. Teaser on my upcoming thread on GDI: Bottom line, caburetor is the cleanest and almost trouble-free engine, so start buying Toyota K70 "Money never sleeps"

Kerosene 'fuel' ruins more than 500 car enginesFirst you lose power, and then the motor starts knocking - you are a victim of new fuel scam 'petrol stretching'http://www.independent.i...r-engines-30585224.html
They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.

This adulteration is quite common locally especially with diesel fuel. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.
