Recurring Acute Pain in a 2 year old

Dear Wazuans,
My son, 2 years 4 months old has been experiencing acute pain on the knee for the last 4 months.
The pain moves from one leg to the other.
The pain dissapears for about 10 days then reccurs.
Doctors (general practitioners/paedetricians/bone specialists)have done numerous tests including Xrays,MRI's,Ultra Sound,Full Body Haemogram etc and are unable to diagnose what the problem is. Initially he was put on a very strong dose of anti-biotics and pain killers. The pain subsided for a little while but resurfaced before the dosage was over.
As his parents we completely reduced his intake of animal protein and sugars (no snacks, no sweets etc) but the problem still persists.
It is now extremely frustrating (for us as his parents) as he is in alot of pain and cannot walk.
Anyone with ideas on a way forward!

@Pierce – Pole sana – I know how it feels to see your child in pain. I have said a prayer for him. The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

Pole @Pierce. Can't even begin to imagine the pain the little one is going through. Unfortunately can't think of much apart from recommending my paediatrician but it seems that you have already seen enough of them. India has one of the best medical care in the world and the doctors are highly qualified and professional. Plus the costs are almost the same with here, probably even cheaper. My brother-in-Law in suffering from Kidney failure and he has experience with the Indian medical system. He can offer advice on where to go or who to see and maybe the procedures that you may need. In addition, he can connect you with a doctor and you can share the child's symptoms and do an initial diagnosis and they can tell you the way forward. If you are interested email me on chepkel25@gmail.com and i'll give you his number. I wish you all the best and I sure will remember your boy in my praeyers. I have a 4 year old too so I can imagine how you are feeling.

So sorry. Try a chiropractor. Link on FB Problem might actually not be on the knees. A bone reset somewhere might be causing pressure on knees. Second thing, hope you are giving him pro-biotics. Anti-biotics also kill the friendly bacteria in the gut. Be careful with them, they might end up doing more harm than good. Also read here that they eat away teeth. Brush his teeth after the anti-biotics. Sunshine. Give him lots. Vitamin D, Calcium=strong bones. The body 'borrows' from the bones calcium to alkanize the body. The body alkanizes after we've fed it garbage and made it acidic. Thus weak bones and osteoporosis. And before rushing to India and conventional doctors, I'd suggest nutritionists and good acclaimed herbal doctors. Medicine doesn't heal. The body heals itself.

@Pierce, pole, seeing your child go through pain is a very agonising situation to be in. I do pray for the young one. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.... I'm very sorry for what you're going through. There are two paedeatric doctors who have received rave reviews on this forum. Maybe you can give them a try. One is Professor Wafula of knh and professor Were of upper hill medical centre.. My prayers are with your little one
