You cannot truly hate someone or something u don't have the capacity to love. Actually the opposite of love is indifference and not hate. When u are indifferent u don't care and u don't think of someone or something much of the times. When u hate someone u are almost always constantly thinking of him even if to just find fault, though the passion here is negative as opposed to love. I have heard people say that hate is love turned upside down.
