After answering maka, somebody please advice on E-learning in Kenya.
I don't know why many local unis haven't capitalised on this yet many lack the time to attend classes in person.

...thot both KU and UON have e-learning programmes, btw they should really work on such platforms,it will decongest the uni,s and make learning easier...

Tried navigating through their websites for detailed info? Nothing much

See what they are doing is competing to open up regional campuses which serve a certain pop,esp those fresh out of school.
I am thinking about the working dude in KitMikaye desiring to advance his studies.
Even if you took the campus to Kitmikaye next to his doorstep,he may not be able to attend unless you make it flexible for him.

Just my thoughts.

There's is very limited choice of programs and courses.Thats my prob. Not wide range.
Kuna ile specific course you desire to do to broaden your knowledge on a certain field and advance your career.

While both distance learning and eLearning bring the coursework directly to the students or employees, traditional distance learning is usually stand alone, whereas eLearning is a design of connected media elements that are used as a necessary part of instruction. eLearning is available 24/7 as it is just a matter of going to your computer,

Many policy makers, scholars and practitioners in higher education use these two terms interchangeably as synonyms. But the fact is that distance education in most higher education systems is not delivered through the new electronic media, and vice versa--e-learning in most universities and colleges all over the world is not used for distance education purposes.

A friend at KU undertook distance learning. He had dozens of books at his disposal sent to him via courier. I have had books sent to me too and they were very expensive. They are of no use now.
E-learning gives you access to the library where you can read, download and research electronically.

well I could be wrong. It's what I think and am searching a few places.

Valid point – MBA and Masters are not synonymous

MBA is part of masters. @Maka you have to many projects going on. You should concentrate on your Dec 2013 project first.

while at it, compare costs unless you are being sponsored.eg. Egerton increased fee by a 50k amid my masters. it aint funny paying higher fees with only a thesis remaining.
