Rank: New-farer Joined: 9/4/2012 Posts: 16		Hello Wazuans, Obviously I'm a newbie, I came in here looking for business or investment ideas and from what I've read so far this a good place to start. So I've saved up 700k over the years, and I need ideas on what I can do with it. Most Wazuans seem to reccommend Stocks and Unit Trusts/Bonds etc, thing is I'm a total newbie on this things. So if anyone can tell me just where to start... I've worked so hard to save this amount and I'd hate to lose it due to lack of knowledge. Any help please? PS.I'm in full time employment and love my job so I'd like something that I can do on the side. Thanks in advance y'all. I know this type of question has been asked 2367971 times on this forum alone but kindly help me too.

Another thing, make sure you diversify, there is a wise old expression that says dont put all your eggs in one basket so if it was ME.. i would have a mix of land, stocks etc "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. Rank: Member Joined: 4/18/2011 Posts: 459		investopedia.com will teach you several things about investing in shares etc. I would add abit of cash onto that and buy a canter to transport farm produce and other goods between various destination.( After assessing logistics and research.) I would put that money in a Sacco then keep on contributing for 6 months and make sure I maintain a healthy bank account. After 6 months I would borrow from the Sacco to buy an apartment with the apartment as collateral and rent it out to help me repay the sacco, a healthy bank account will be required as proof of capability of repayment. Finally my colleague gave me an idea recently of buying plots with every penny I can spare. With time I would then sell off some of the plots after they have appreciated in value and use the money to develop others.

I recommend you throw your money in the cheapest and largest blue chip shares eg KCB and forget for 3 years.. The management will protect & grow your cash for you!
