Ranking the Banks

Hi all,

I've put the NSE-listed banks through the ranking model. You can see the results at the following link:

Stock Showdown: Ranking Kenya's Best Banks

You all know these banks first-hand, so I would love feedback on how accurate this ranking feels to you. Many of the banks are looking to issue rights soon, so that has been influencing valuations.

As always please don't hesitate to suggest improvements to the model!

Where did you get the figure of roughly 43% of Equity being owned by foreigners? That is a significant amount

Ryan I'm 100% sure you don't work for a Kenyan stock broker.

Great job with that analysis. It makes sense for us the unsavvy investors. Just a super job and by the way, your blog is great too.

It is clearly indicated that the analysis is on listed banks only!
