Profit down to 10 million in Aug 2011 from 13.2 million if Feb 2011.

Intends to cut costs by getting rid of non income subsidiaries and getting into Zambia.

Matu may be ailing from undisclosed ailment. That is the only prospective announcement.

No interim dividends if that is what you expected. This is a company for danders.

Seems positive compared to last year. 10mn for 6 months vs 13mn for 12 months. This is for speculators though.

What's the story behind the properties it owns? That's where the value is not the business.

LOL... And they say I am the black sheep in the family ;-)
The only 'hope' I see is the properties Olympia has including some residential properties in Upper Hill and Avon House in Industrial Area. There is more value in liquidating the firm!

The good news is that Paul Wanderi Ndungu & Joel Kibe are major shareholders so the CMC Boardroom brawl means matu & friends are probably not sleeping!

No offence to shareholders, but i'm suprised we still talk about some companies

Perhaps Paul Ndungu is buying to own more than 30% & kick out matu?
Or is matu buying to prevent being kicked out?

This must be the only investment on the NSE that Paul Ndungu has lost money on!

I hear he lost quite a chunk in MSC a few year ago... gave him ulcers!
