Journalist Dola Otieno released on a Sh1m bond, ordered to report to CID every month. He is charged with murder of his wife Wambui Kabiru. source CapitalFm

Is this a first or do Murder suspects get Bonds?

I think you can use a title deed.In my opinion I think this is a dangerous precedent what if He is really guilty and goes ahead and intimidates witnesses or even destroys any evidence that might be out there [mysterious fires are common nowadays]

Now is there any need for police to arrest dangerous criminal gangs? They will be released and then they will kill the witnesses or suspected informers pap! Such gangs shold just be eliminated.

My biggest worry would be when the dude decides that the kid will suffer given the death of the mother and him being in jail and decided to come sort that issue out before going to jail for life!!!!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving a Murder Suspect Bail. In any case, he's a suspect and the Law presumes he is innocent until proven otherwise.
